Aerial Support
The industry has a very diverse selection of tools ranging from nose mounts, handheld, door mounted and gimbles. Tyler Camera Systems, which has been around for over 30 years has three products at Meddin that can help with your aerial needs.
- Tyler Middle Mount
- Tyler Nose Mount
- Tyler Mini Gyro
Tyler Middle Mount is a side mounted stabilized handheld camera system. Great for almost all shots where you following movement, coordinating with action on the ground and rotating around an object. Normally this system is installed with a set of gyros to assist in stabilization. Experienced and strong communication between the pilot and DP is required. Weakness: Hard to shoot straight forward without crawling the helicopter.
(Doug Holgate / Gulfstream Project)
Tyler Nose Mount normally used a lot for capturing real estate, run in shots and establishing shots and great for a chase scene. Having an experienced helicopter pilot is very important. Weakness: points straight forward.
(Bob Jones / Kia Project)
Tyler Mini Gyro is probably the most malleable piece of equipment in the inventory. This is a handheld and gyro system combined into one solution. Tylers mini system can be used in almost any scenario where you have movement and stabilization is needed. This can be anything from riding on the back of motorcycle or ATV, to a helicopter or shooting out the door of a fixed wing aircraft. Weakness: smaller camera systems and operated dependent.
