Jason was invited over to check out the preparation of the Panavision G2 camera package and visit camera team members Wes Garrison and Nikita Carpenter for the "Coca-Cola Refreshing Filmmakers Award". This yearly project involves Scad students and faculty submitting treatments to Cola-Cola in an effort to win a grant towards the production of a "refreshing" short film showcasing a particular uplifting theme or message while influenced by the great taste of a Coke beverage. Only ten film schools in the country are selected annually to receive the production grants and Scad has been awarded as a finalist four times (two students were selected in 2009) in the last three years.

The G2 camera package at the college is also one of Panavision's longest running grants for a film school. Professor Michael Hoffstein has helped Scad earn the coveted package for over five years now, giving students the opportunity to learn and grow as filmmakers utilizing the industry's top equipment and tools.
